Our First Blog

As our friends and family know...we're expecting our first baby!! Since everyone is so spread apart, we caved and finally started a blog. This way our family can read all about our growing little one and continue in our journey with us! I'll give a quick update of my pregnancy so we can be caught up.

Chris and I found out on April 20th, 2009 that I was pregnant. A very faint line was shown in the first four tests I took, yes four... I was in disbelief, which was then reconfirmed Thursday April 23rd with a big, dark, pink line! We told all of our close family at 6 weeks, had our first ultra sound at 7 weeks, heard the heartbeat for the first time at 9 weeks through a doppler at the doctors office, and told friends at 10 weeks. Between 10-16 weeks, I've just been growing and trying to get rest. I am now 16 weeks, showing quite a bit, and in the next few weeks we will be able to find out the sex! We are so excited about our new addition to our family and can not believe how quickly this process has gone by! We will make sure to post all updates and photos ASAP!
